Our Story ]

Thrive Alive provides faith-centered spiritual support and compassionate education for individuals living with HIV – with a special focus on adults aged 50 and older who are aging with HIV. We also equip churches and faith communities to develop informed, inclusive, and sustainable HIV ministries rooted in dignity, compassion, and hope. Discover how faith, compassion, and practical support empower individuals to thrive while living with HIV.

A simple wooden cross standing upright on a smooth, light-colored desk, flanked by a neatly arranged spiral-bound notebook, a silver pen, and a small stack of printed educational pamphlets about HIV care for older adults. A discreet red awareness ribbon rests atop the pamphlets. Behind the desk, a softly blurred bookshelf holds organized binders and a single green plant, suggesting an orderly ministry office. Cool, even daylight from a nearby window illuminates the scene, creating gentle reflections on the pen and subtle shadows under each object. Photographic realism, eye-level composition with a moderate depth of field for clarity. The mood is professional yet compassionate, reflecting a trustworthy, informative HIV ministry environment.
A close-up of a white ceramic mug with a subtle cross embossed near the rim, filled with herbal tea releasing delicate steam, placed on a light gray knitted blanket draped over an armchair. Next to the mug lies a small stack of well-thumbed devotional booklets and a single red ribbon pin resting carefully on top. Diffused afternoon light from an unseen window creates soft highlights on the mug’s glossy surface and gentle shadowing in the folds of the blanket. The background is intentionally out of focus, hinting at a tidy living room with muted blues and warm wood. Photographic realism, composed with rule of thirds and shallow depth of field, evoking warmth, comfort, and quiet spiritual support for those aging with HIV.

Why Thrive Alive Began

Thrive Alive Ministries grew from the HIV ministry developed as part of a larger organization and has since branched out to be an independent ministry in order to focus on a broader scope of churches and ministries. We partner with churches, caregivers, and clinicians to offer spiritual care, education, and friendship grounded in hope.

A neatly arranged wooden table displaying a worn but well-cared-for leather-bound Bible open to a page marked with several colorful sticky notes and a slim satin bookmark. Beside it rests a simple red ribbon awareness bracelet and a small, smooth river stone engraved with the word “Hope.” The table sits near a large window in a quiet room, with soft morning sunlight filtering through sheer white curtains, casting gentle, elongated shadows. The background falls into a subtle blur, suggesting a peaceful home environment with muted neutral tones. Photographic realism, shot at eye level using shallow depth of field, emphasizing the textures of leather, paper, and wood. The atmosphere feels calm, dignified, and encouraging, suitable for a faith-based HIV ministry homepage hero image.

About

Our Faith and Values

At Thrive Alive, we believe that every person living with HIV deserves dignity, encouragement, and spiritual support – especially those who are navigating the unique challenges of aging with HIV. Through companionship, education, and compassionate outreach, we walk alongside individuals living with HIV and their loved ones, helping them build faith, hope, resilience, and community.

We also partner with churches and ministry leaders, offering training and guidance to help congregations build welcoming, informed, and stigma-free HIV ministries.
